• Wand Ingredients

Core: phoenix feather-This is one of the rarest core types. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn hair or dragon heartstring cores to reveal this.

Length: 12 inches

Wood: sycamore- The sycamore makes a questing wand, eager for new experience and losing brilliance if engaged in mundane activities. It is a quirk of these handsome wands that they may combust if allowed to become ‘bored.’ As may be deduced, the sycamore’s ideal owner is curious, vital and adventurous.

Flexibility: unyielding- A wand of this flexibility finely tunes itself to its original owner's preferences and doesn't stray from those preferences, even in the hands of a new owner; the new owner will just have to get used to it. It is particularly good for combative and healing magic. Unyielding wand owners tend to be very confident in themselves and/or in the things they believe in. They tend to be intelligent, somewhat cynical, and usually have well-defined principles that they will not stray from ever. Sometimes, this combination can lead to arrogance because of them insisting on how right they are without considering other points of view or whether or not they might be wrong.

Silencing Charm - Silencio

Silences the victim, preventing any form of vocalization. Can be used to disrupt powerful magic that requires a verbal component.

Rennervate 

A moderately complex healing charm, which causes an unconscious subject to awaken. Some conditions, such as powerful magically-induced unconsciousness, are non-responsive.

Counterspell - Finite Incantatem

Counters a spell as it is being cast, or cancels an ongoing magical effect. Though taught at an early age, the actual effects of this spell are heavily dependent on the power and skill of the wizard casting it - it is widely used in everything from dueling to medicine, but has relatively limited utility to novices.

Incarcerous - Incarcerous

Binds a victim with magically conjured ropes.

Aguamenti Charm - Aguamenti 

Produces a jet of water from the caster's wand.

Stunning Spell -Checui

Debate rages as to whether this is a charm, a jinx, or a hex - but it is considered one of the basic dueling spells. It temporarily stuns an opponent, rendering them inert for a few precious seconds.

 Reparifors -reparifors

Reparifors is a healing spell that reverts minor magically-induced ailments, such as paralysis and poisoning

• Personality: 

Elias is intelligent, using his time at Hogwarts to accumulate as much magical knowledge as possible.  He's hardworking, paying close attention to his studies so he can one day be called the most powerful wizard and put his parents' fears to rest.

He can come across as friendly, almost overly so. Despite this, Elias will be very competitive with his classmates. He secretly can't stand having someone do something better or know more than him. 

His ambitious nature can drive him to be ruthless when during competitions. Because of this, it might appear as though Elias' kind exterior might be a cunning mask he wears around his friends. 

If he takes an interest in someone, he'll be quite persistent getting to know them. (He'll bump into you in the halls, find you in the common rooms, and other such things. It won't be a coincidence.)

When he gets to know someone and trust them, he'll be a caring friend. He reserves his rennervate spell for those special few. For the rest who are not as fortunate, he'll be selfish with his healing magic. Their suffering will take a backseat to his well being.  He can live up to the Slytherin name and put himself first. 

Although he can be friendly, he will become cold if someone interferes with his goals (especially involving his beloved rival), or if he feels he's been wronged by someone. He'll hold grudges against those individuals.

• Background:

Elias grew up in a simple flat in the English countryside. His parents both came from wizarding families, but they wanted him to grow up knowing a safer life. It was their way of protecting him from the potential dangers of the magical world. For some time, this life seemed to suit Elias.

Their small cottage was comfortable, and he enjoyed playing out in the garden. To his mother's dismay, Elias would often bring in some of the insects and smaller animals he found. Snakes seemed to be his favorite thing to bring home to his worried mother. His curiosity from 5 and onward seemed to be limitless to his parents. 

Elias was enrolled in a public school. He was a bit of a prankster, but still had a good number of friends. He excelled in his studies, his favorite subject being mathematics.

Elias' grandparents would visit his family twice a month to spoil their grandchildren. They often told him stories of Hogwarts and the magical creatures that roamed the school grounds. Elias grew up thinking that this Hogwarts school was just a fairy tale. 

Approaching his 11th birthday, Elias started to notice that strange things were happening around him. It was usually when he was upset, and it was something that scared him. Doors opened, some things around his room disappeared... things of that nature. He woke up one morning to see that his room had been turned upside down. He was too scared to talk to his parents about the strange happenings, thinking he was going insane. 

On the eve of his 11th birthday, a strange letter came for him. He was invited to attend Hogwarts. He thought it was his grandparents playing a birthday prank at first. The look of worry and sadness on his parents' faces told him that this was no prank. He and his parents sat down, and they told him the truth about Hogwarts and his heritage. 

Elias was furious. Hiding the truth from him was one thing, but the amount of fright he had dealt with not understanding the strange things around him was too much. He wouldn't talk to his parents the next day. After he had time to think things over, he realized that his parents had meant to protect him. He agreed to attend Hogwarts, vowing to become the strongest wizard and prove to them that he was capable of holding his own in the wizarding world. 

His first year at Hogwarts was rough. He had a difficult time adapting to the strange things in the school, as well as the curriculum. It was a sensory overload for him. Elias lost count of how many times he was lost while looking for his dorm. During the following years, Elias managed to find his footing and regain some of the confidence he had lost during that first difficult year. His focus shifted to his studies and he practiced the finite incantatum spell many times in order to learn how to protect himself. He developed a strong fear of fire and learned the aquamenti charm to protect himself against it.

This year, Elias hopes to master more spells and become the world's strongest wizard.

Despite having an angelic name, Angel is quite the devil when meeting new people. She will puff up her feathers and glare at strangers. She will not strike, as Elias has taken the time to train her to follow his commands. As such, she will not attack other pets. Instead, she will screech when she perceives a threat to herself or Elias. This can often startle people enough to avoid subsequent interactions with her and her owner.

However, if someone speaks to her with a gentle tone and takes the time to earn her trust, she can be quite affectionate. Might even perch on someone that she feels comfortable being around. 

Elias received Angel as a gift from his grandparents before he left home his first year. They've been close ever since. 

Angel wears clear plastic nail caps to keep from hurting Elias due to her insistence of sitting on his shoulder and occasional perching on his head.
